We keep small business computers, networks and software running from our base at 176 Grainger Street. Below you can read how the company started, what we stand for, and who answers the phone when you call.
Naluve was set up in 2019 by a small group of IT technicians who had spent years fixing the same problems for shops, cafes and offices around Newcastle upon Tyne, usually as freelancers working for different agencies. They noticed that small businesses were often left waiting days for a callback, or charged for support contracts built for much larger companies. The idea behind Naluve was simple: answer quickly, charge fairly, and stay local.
Seven years on, the team has grown to 14 people covering 3 districts of the city and its immediate surroundings. Since opening, we have completed 623 support jobs for 490 separate clients, and 133 of them have come back a second time when something else needed sorting. We now offer 10 distinct services, from network setup to ongoing maintenance contracts, and most requests get a reply within 2 hours during working hours.
Our aim is not complicated: make sure a small business in Newcastle upon Tyne never has to close its doors, or turn away a customer, because of a computer problem it did not have the time or the staff to fix. We are not trying to replace an in-house IT department at a big company. We are here for the shop owner who needs a till system working again by lunchtime, or the office manager who wants someone to check their network is set up sensibly before it causes trouble.
Looking further ahead, we want Naluve to stay a business you can actually reach - not a call centre reading from a script, but the same small group of technicians who know your setup because they have been there before.
We explain what went wrong in plain terms, not jargon, so you understand the fix and the cost before we start.
We only cover 3 districts around Newcastle upon Tyne, which means we can usually get to your premises the same day.
No contracts sized for corporations. You pay for the work a small business actually needs, nothing added on.
Over a quarter of our clients return for further work, which tells us the first job was done properly.
Takes the first call, works out what's wrong, and books in the right technician for your visit.
Handles router, Wi-Fi and cabling jobs, mostly for shops and offices around the city centre.
Deals with software faults, backups and account access issues on desktops and laptops.
Keeps in touch after a job is finished and arranges follow-up visits when clients come back.
Most of our work is for small businesses with a physical premises, but we also support self-employed people working from home within the districts we cover.
A reply usually comes within 2 hours during working hours. The visit itself depends on the job and how urgent it is - we will tell you a realistic time when we call back.
Get in touch anyway. Most IT issues at small businesses fall under one of our services once we've had a proper look, and if not, we will say so honestly rather than take the job on.
Tell us what's going on and we'll get back to you within a couple of hours.
